Compare and Contrast two versions of A Christmas Carol

To be honest, after watching the two movies, I think that the newer one with Jim Carrey in it is a lot more appealing to me than the one that’s produced a while ago. It’s probably just because I’m still a child and still like cartoon over movies that are filmed with real people as the characters. The cartoon was more entertaining and because it could make a lot more thing more possible. For example, the effects of the ghosts. In the older film, the effects weren’t as good. The ghosts were just human that were more transparent, but in the cartoon one, the ghosts could fly around, and the visual images would make me more excited and the sound effects made me like the movie a lot more. When I was watching the older version of this movie, I nearly fell asleep. Also, a big difference was to figure out which character is who. Even though through the speech, it was obvious about who was who, but it was still quite hard to find out who was who by simply looking at them in the older version of the movie, but in the cartoon version, the way the characters were drawn was showing the characteristics of the characters, which made it of course, a lot easier to find out who is who.
