My special belonging

If my whole family was really in danger and I had to choose the three most important and special things to me, I would actually have a really hard time choosing it. I would be worrying about if I bring these, would I regret it? Or whether it is actually more useful than other things that I have left behind. I was really struggling, but in the end, the three most important things I chose were my iPhone, including all the charger and stuff, my computer, and also all of the money. Without my iPhone, I can't live. I'm not exaggerating at all. In fact, when my phone isn't on me or near me, I will have an unsafe feeling and feel scared that someone will call me and about things related to my records in my games. Although I know that having devices like this when you're trying to run away and hide from people is really dangerous and would get yourself exposed, but still, I can't live without it. And for my computer, it's basically just like my phone. I have to go one Facebook and all those applications for chatting. I'm just used to be online all the time, not chatting all the time though. And for money, if we don't have money, it would be impossible to live. Everything requires money. Water, food, and almost all necessities for living requires money.

Favorite Song Theme

Hero- Enrique Iglesias
Let me be your hero
Would you dance, if I asked you to dance?
Would you run, and never look back?
Would you cry, if you saw me crying?
And would you save my soul, tonight?
Would you tremble, if I touched your lips?
Would you laugh? Oh please tell me this
Now would you die, for the one you love?
Hold me in your arms, tonight
I can be your hero, baby
I can kiss away the pain
I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away
Would you swear, that you'll always be mine?
Or would you lie? Would you run and hide?
Am I in too deep? Have I lost my mind?
I don't care you're here, tonight
I can be your hero, baby
I can kiss away the pain
I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away
Oh, I just wanna hold you
I just wanna hold you, oh yeah
Am I in too deep? Have I lost my mind?
Well I don't care you're here, tonight
I can be your hero, baby
I can kiss away the pain, oh yeah
I will stand by you forever
You can take my breath away
I can be your hero, I can kiss away the pain
(I can be your hero, baby)
And I will stand by you, forever
You can take my breath away
You can take my breath away
An' I can be your hero

One of my favorite songs is Hero by Enrique Iglesias. The music video too, is very sad and makes people kind of depressed in a way, and in the other way, it makes people feel amazed by the power of love. The theme of this song should be that true love is undying and people are willing to give up everything for their real love. In the song, he will do anything to take away her pain and stand by her side whenever she needs him. In the music video too, even though there was a bad guy in their way of staying together, they still loved each other and tried their best to protect each other and stand with each other for all the time.

Folk Songs About Revolution

The song I chose is called "God Save the Thirteen States". This song is sang in the tune of the song "God Save the Queen". Although God Save the Queen is a British song, God Save the Thirteen States was sang like it because the write wanted to show the British that the Americans had their own identity, by not talking about the same things and also that they could become a country as powerful as the British were. The lyrics of both songs are formatted similarly. For almost all lines of the song, they have the same amount of syllables in each. This song is basically about how the Americans were praying to win the war and end the tyrannic government. They wanted to have a free state, not being ruled by the Europeans, especially how the European government ruled them ruthlessly. This poem/ song isn't quite long and is basically talking about the same things over and over again which is how they want to have liberty and be freed from the Europeans.

Duty or Friendship?

Duties are important while friends are too. Does betraying your duties or betraying your friends sound worse to you? To me, it would be a really hard choice to make, since duties are things that should be done, or to be more exact, duties have to be done. But, friends mean everything to me. Of course, only the real friends are the ones that I would feel really guilty at if I betray them. Neither betraying people that have your back whenever you need them and wish the best for you nor betraying your duties will be a good decision. If I really had to choose, I would choose to betray my duties. Betraying duties normally would just harm myself, but betraying friends would hurt more than just one person. Although sometimes when you betray your duty, you might hurt someone else too, but they wouldn't be your friends. Hurting your friends could be one of the most serious crimes on the planet, and you will regret it if it really happens. Things I would normally consider about before I make those decisions will be ones like "how many people will be hurt, how painful would it be...etc". I wouldn't want to have to make decisions like this, but like I've said, if I really have to choose, I would choose to betray my duties.

Under pressure

When people face heart-pounding fear or stress, normally, their bodies produce a lot of adrenaline, which would make people have a lot of energy for a while, but of course, after the time of being energetic, they would feel tired and hungry afterwards. Also, when people face stress, there could be different reactions. Some people may deal with the pressure well and may even use the pressure as a bumper and get a higher result that has higher quality. Some other people though, won't be able to deal with the pressure and hurt themselves. If it's more serious, some might even commit suicide. Normally when I face stress, I would feel depressed and frustrated for quite a while, and start to do what I should be doing. For example, when there is a large amount of homework, I would freak out and panic first before I start working on them. And when people take actions when the stakes are high, I believe that they feel that there would be no loss even if they make those decisions. The condition they were in should've been really bad so that they wouldn't care about whether they would face bad consequences since the situation may not get worse.

Revenge

Normally, people would seek revenge when something that other people has done to them hurt them to an extend that they couldn't stand it. For example, money, love and reputations. These would be the most common reasons for people to seek revenge on other people. Some minor reasons could be from insults, pranks, or jokes. Some people may take pranks and jokes really seriously and get angry to decide to revenge. And in movies, there are often parts where someone really close to a character, his/her mother, lover...etc. gets killed or hurt, the character changes into a different person and decides to seek revenge. If people get obsessed to vengeances, it'll lead to a tragedy because to seek revenge means to do something bad to the person that hurt you. Doing anything that hurts other people isn't a good choice in the first place and if you get obsessed in doing it, which means that you'll be doing bad things over and over again. Doing bad things all the time could be considered as a tragedy.

The Grass Is Always Greener On The Other Side

People often think that other people have better things, and almost never appreciate what they, themselves have. No matter how great your life is, you always think that someone else's life is better. For example, a married man had a lot of single male friends and felt jealous at how they could party and were free all the time, but he didn't see how lucky he was, having a beautiful wife that takes care of almost everything. He decided to leave his wife because he kept believing that being single like his friends is a better life, until one day, all his friends got married and he started to see how his friends were actually really happy and sweet with their wives. When he wanted to go back to his ex-wife, of course she wouldn't want to get back together with him. So, envying what other people have doesn't mean that if you really get that life, you'll like it. This man would be regretting what he did for a long time, because he realized how stupid he was to make the decision to divorce with his ex-wife.

Hopes and Dreams

When people's dreams don't come true, they may have different kinds of reactions. To some people, their dreams may really be just dreams, which means that they won't come true; To some other people, they may feel very disappointed because they believe that they were really close to their dreams and had a lot of faith in themselves of accomplishing them, but then failing to do so. Some of my dreams would probably to be to have a happy family that doesn't fight all the time, have friends that would be there whenever I needed and listen/ understand when I feel sad, also, my final dream would probably be to try to get a straight A every year and accomplish my final dream to get into medical school in college. Some of my dreams aren't ones that I can do anything to make a change, like having a happy family that doesn't fight all the time. That, I probably could do a little help to try to stop people from fighting and not make them angry. And so for having those friends. I could go around and make new friends but I wouldn't know if they're going to be the friends that I hope to have. And for getting straight As, I could work hard to try to get it. And for going to medical school, I could work hard too, but I hope that I have the talent of being a doctor. To be more specific, I hope to be a psychologist because I really like talking to people that are in some kind of problem and don't know how to let themselves feel relaxed.

Thank You, M'am

"When the going gets tough, the though get going." People need motivations in life to move on. The motivations for people that do heroic acts are often tough things. Tough things force people to find ways to get over it and therefore, that's the motivation. Then, after people've done a tough thing once, in the future, they would know that it might not  be that difficult, and their spirits will become stronger. Results may turn out to be good because the people have overcame their fears and became stronger. And so for the other way. The results may turn out to be bad because the people may have either failed to surpass their fears, or that they've cowered out. But, even if the result may come out bad for the first time, there are often second chances. The first try would be the foundation and could be the reason for the person to succeed in the second try.

Friends

To me, friendship is the second to the most important thing in my life. The first place would of course be my family. I believe that real best friends should tell each other basically everything and listen to each other. Of course, trust between each other is a very important ingredient for friendship. Also, real best friends should never tell other people about the secrets that they've told each other. All friends will somehow and someday have some kind of conflicts, but even then, secrets shouldn't be told to other people. So people tell other people about their friend's secrets in order to let other people befriend them. This kind of people aren't real friends. "My oldest friendship" is actually a pretty vague sentence since I don't know whether it means that we're still very close, or just that we could still talk and smile and stuff. My first interpretation was that we're still very close, so, I believe that it would be a girl from my elementary school. We were in the same school, same orchestra, and the same cram school. Although now we're not anymore, we still chat a lot whenever we can. I believe that some friendships last for a long time because they have similar personalities, interests, and probably a lot of  interactions. Some friendships don't last long, and the reasons my be because one side doesn't appreciate the other side, or probably because the personalities don't match or because the distance is really too far.

The Most Dangerous Game

The most important events in the story, summarized, are the part in which he falls into the ocean, meets General Zaroff on the island and finds out what kind of person he was, the fights they had, and the final fight in the bedroom in which General Zaroff got killed. In the beginning of the story, Whitney was foreshadowing that there would be something bad happening on the island, and the three gun shots too. Then, Rainsford fell off the ship and swam to the island. On the island, he found where General Zaroff and  Ivan lives. When they first met, they chatted about hunting but then Rainsford realized that the General hunts human. He then got forced to hunt with the General. If he gets caught within 3 days, he looses and will die, but if he doesn't, he wins and can leave the island. On the first day, he tried not to leave any mark that would show the General about where he was, and he hid in a tree. The general did find him though, but he wanted to play with him, so he didn't attack him, and just smiled and went home. In the second day, Rainsford used his knowledge and wounded the General. On the third day, he killed both Ivan and one of the best dogs using his experience too. He got chased and jumped into the river, and General Zaroff thought that he won, but when he went back to his home, he found Rainsford in his bedroom waiting for him to kill him. That part would be the climax of the story.

9/7/2011 Villain

In this exact moment, I can't actually think of any villains, but since the stage art class was watching the movie "The Wizard of Oz", I would pick the wicked witch from that movie. I am not the kind of person that would be fascinated by the villains, since they do bad things to the good people, but I other than the reason I said, I think that the wicked witch did a pretty awesome job in the movie. The part that was the best was the part in which she got melted by water. It would be a really hard thing to act, since there are so many people around you, staring, and you're the only one doing the acting at that time. Also, since she was going to melt, the actions of her has to be exaggerated, and if I were her, I'm sure I would laugh out uncontrollably.
